Tips and ideas to relax, using art
This week is about art and relaxation. I don’t know about you but I think that some relaxation is needed right now!
So, here are some ideas for you to give a go, depending on your preference. To be honest all forms of art are relaxing for me, but I thought I would show a few examples of what I particularly enjoy.
See if you can chose a subject and draw outlines for you or your child to colour in. It can be very therapeutic to do so, here are some examples:
Or, simply draw a moth or butterfly shape and use spots or stripes or patterns to colour them in.
Draw on stones using what you have, whether that be sharpies, posca, paint, and you can even try nail varnish. When finished it is possible to use a PVA glue to varnish the stones.
You could draw on stones, slate, wood or shells.
Posca pens, acrylic and acrylic inks
Another idea is drawing mandalas and also mandalas using flowers. We made these last Spring.
For the keen artists out there, you could try painting butterflies, using books to hand or the internet as a reference, and cut them out and stick them to the wall with blu tack. It is quite a fun thing to do. You could also laminate them.
