Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 15th October 2020 at 1pm. In view of current Covid 19 arrangements, Education Otherwise has made the decision to take a step into the future by holding the meeting via ‘Zoom’. Details of the meeting will be posted nearer the time.
At the AGM we will continue our exciting moves to widen our message and become more democratic, by seeking a vote on expanding voting rights to all new members who opt to take up such rights. This has become possible as a result of the charity having changed its status to a Charitable Incorporated Organisation, from a Charitable Company. Trustees are pleased to support this change, as we feel that all of our members have a stake in our work and should therefore have a say in how we operate.
In addition, two of our trustees will be standing for election: Carol Dyer and Kate Woodley. Carol has been instrumental in bringing this new web site to fruition and has worked tirelessly to do so. Kate is our artist in chief and her superb art lesson can be found on our blog pages. Trustees would like to see both Carol and Kate’s position confirmed by a vote in favour of their election.
Of course, the routine business will also be included at the AGM, with accounts having been prepared for approval and our annual report being produced. These will be available on our member section shortly.
We ask all currently voting members to respond to the invitation that we have sent to you and to attend the AGM. We look forward to seeing you there.
