The information contained in the Contact List is confidential and for the sole and personal use of members and is provided on condition that in no circumstances will be be made available to non-members, or used for any purpose other than for social contact between members.

It is NOT to be used to prepare circular letters/emails or compile mailing lists for advertising, research, marketing, resources or any other purpose.

Anyone found misusing the contact list or divulging any of its contents to non-members will have their EO membership terminated. Contact the database administrator if you have any concerns.

(Whilst employment with government agencies and local authorities does not preclude membership of EO, individuals who join and who are employed with children's services agencies are also required to confirm that they will not use information gained as a result of their membership in their working life.)

They also sometimes have difficulty accessing information on possible careers and vocations. When new home educators join Education Otherwise, they often request contact with someone who is in a similar situation to themselves. Now tht the organisation has grown, circumstances of individual families are unlikely to be known to us. EO would like to start keeping a record which would allow us to put members in contact with each other for specific reasons, rather than the general and social contact allowed by the Confidential Contact List.

If you order online you have the legal right to cancel your subscription within seven working days of receipt of your membership pack. Return of the goods is at your own risk and cost. Recorded delivery is recommended as Education Otherwise cannot be held liable for returned items lost in the post. All items supplied by us must be returned to us in good condition and a refund will be applied to the credit/debit card originally charged less the cost of postage and an administration charge. E-mail to notify us of your wish to cancel and to make arrangements for return of membership pack.
